Am I able to attend the classes in English?Yes. Classes are conducted in Dutch as well as English. At the moment our classes are not available in other languages.

Is the training a recognized training with a recognized diploma?No. The profession of tattoo artist is a liberal profession, and there is no recognized training or diploma for it. At the end of our training you will receive a certificate as proof of participation.

Is the training mandatory to start as a tattoo artist?No. The profession of tattoo artist is a liberal profession. You can start as a tattoo artist without a diploma or training. The only compulsory training is that of “Hygiene procedures for tattoos and piercings”, which can be obtained through Syntra.

Wouldn't it be better to train with a tattoo artist?If you get the chance to train with a good tattoo artist through an apprenticeship or internship, we strongly recommend it. In recent years, however, there has been a proliferation of new shops and artists, and you are not always sure of the quality of the training. Very high rates are often also charged for this. For this reason, more and more interested parties opt for training with us.

Can I tattoo after training?Let's face it: You can't expect to master everything after 3 days. There is a lot that goes into it. We therefore focus on the knowledge of hygiene, the materials and learning the tattoo technique. After 3 days you will know the basic techniques, and from then on it will be a lot of practice at home. We provide you with the right tools for this. In addition to the technique, tattooing is also sketching, being creative, having knowledge of styles, developing your own style, ... this is a lifelong process.

How long does it take before I can tattoo?This depends on your bet. After the course, some are able to place good simple tattoos in black ink after a few months of intensive practice. Do I need to buy anything in advance?No. You don't have to buy anything. You use our machines and accessories during the course and do not have to pay for this. There are no additional costs beyond the course fee. If you would like to purchase material to continue practicing at home after the course, you can decide to purchase all necessary material from us. For this we offer a starter package for purchase, a complete package of materials at an affordable price.

Does it stop after 3 days or is there a sequel?After 3 days you can't tattoo yet and you need to practice a lot. This can be done at home. We are still there to answer your questions after the 3 days. We also give you the opportunity to jump in after the course for free if you have any questions or want to refine some techniques. We also offer an advanced course, where you get started in a tattoo parlor.

Is there a warranty on the tattoo machine from the starter package?Yes. You get 1 year warranty on the tattoo machine. If there is a defect, no problem: you will receive a new one.

Do I have to bring my own tattoo model?You can, but it's not mandatory. This only happens on the last day of the course (Sunday evening) when the model tattooing session continues.

Do I need to have prior knowledge or a portfolio to start the course?No. We have made the course accessible to everyone who wants to get a taste of tattooing.

Do I have to be able to sign to get started?No. We have made the course accessible to everyone who wants to get a taste of tattooing. You can bring your own sketchbook, but we mainly work with drawings that we offer.

Which skins are you practicing on?We work on the most realistic hides. Often these are pig skins. We provide these skins ourselves.

Do I need to bring anything to the course?No. If you have tattoo material yourself, it is recommended that you work with it. Beverage is at our expense. You can bring lunch, but you can also eat something nearby.

Can I use my own tattoo machine during the course?Yes. If you have a rotary machine you can use it. A coil machine is also possible if you already have experience with this. If not, you work on (our) rotary machines.

Can I follow the course with my coil machine?Rather not. Due to the longer learning curve, we do not work with coil machines during the classes. We work with rotary pen machines (and hybrid machines). If you are already familiar working with a coil machine, it is allowed. If you are a beginner, it is best to get started with (our) rotary equipment.

Do I have to provide special clothing?Wear what you feel comfortable in. Keep in mind that beginners sometimes spill a splash of ink. This is not going to be undressed.

Can I bring my own food and drinks?Absolutely. We provide free drinks: coffee, tea, water and soft drinks.

Is there a restaurant? Can I buy drinks?We do not have a restaurant in the house. We do have good neighbors in Hasselt: a chip shop, a wok restaurant and soon a Panos.In Ghent we are close to the Brugse Poort, with many dining options. We provide free drinks: coffee, tea, water and soft drinks.

Is there a possibility to stay overnight?You cannot stay overnight in our school. There are hotels and a hostel nearby.

Can I pay for the course with my company and receive an invoice?Yes that is possible. Just provide us with your company details. Also, in this case the full course fee needs to be payed in one go.

Can I pay for the course with training vouchers?No. At the moment we cannot offer this yet.

Is the school wheelchair accessible?In Hasselt, yes. Unfortunately not in Ghent.

How is the course given according to the Corona measures?In a tattoo environment, we already emphasized hygiene. This will be further tightened by means of the following measures: • Seats 1.5 meters apart, each has its own designated seat• Disinfected seats, work tables, toilets, door handles, tattoo materials • Doors and some windows open for air circulation • The supervisors wear a mouth mask• The group is divided into 2 smaller groups over 2 rooms, at different times• The demonstrations are done individually as much as possible • For this we work with extra supervisors • Each participant gets their own materials that are ready and not exchanged

Covid-19: what happens to my registration if the course is cancelled due to a covid lockdown?If the course is canceled due to an imposed covid lockdown, we will postpone the bootcamp. According to your preferences, you can apply for a bootcamp in the future.
